Declining Matric mathematics results have been evident in the past years. Research has concluded that there’s a nation-wide crisis. South African experts have raised concerns on this matter. According to an article by Sisonka Mlamla, he wrote that “Of the almost 600 000 candidates who wrote matric in 2020, a meagre 5.3% scored 60% or more for mathematics”
